Work permit blocks Onyekuru’s return to Everton

Premier League club, Everton FC have failed in their bid to secure a work permit for Nigeria international, Henry Onyekuru who they were aiming to bring back to England before the close of the January window transfer.

The Nigerian has suddenly become the beautiful bride following his impressive form at Turkish side Galatasaray where he is on loan is wanted desperately by Everton to add bite to the team’s attack presently led by Brazilian forward, Richarlison.

The 21-year-old who joined Everton in 2017 from KAS Eupen in Belgium, before being sent on loan to Anderlecht last season and then Galatasaray at the beginning of the season.

Right now the Goodison Park side have become scarced that they might lose Onyekuru who has remained mum on his future at the end of the season. The player has three years left on his contract with the Toffees.

However, many Everton fans believe the Nigerian could have been a perfect fit, especially with his pace and ability to operate perfectly from the wings and adding more bite to the attack which would take some burden off the duo of Richarlison and Sigurdsson.
