Yakubu Aiyegbeni, SBG intensify hunt for fresh talents

 

Former Super Eagles ace Yakubu Aiyegbeni is channeling efforts to identifying and grooming young football talents it has been revealed.

The former Everton and Portsmouth forward is reportedly partnering with Bentley Sports Group (BSG) to make the dream of budding talents who might be interested in making a career out of the round leather game come true.

The Yak as he is fondly called is not only a partner of the outfit but also doubling as one of the coaches.

Aiyegbeni who made 57 appearances for the Super Eagles between 2000–2012 scoring

21 goals is said to be in desirous of seeing the young players rise to make waves in the ever attractive soccer industry.

Neil Sillet, said aside from offering opportunity for young footballers the group is interested in providing a platform for ” players who might otherwise not get a chance to make it” adding Yakubu and Sill, all care about you they want you to do well.”

Yakubu who recently called for the sacking of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr insisting that the German tactician is not measuring up, scored 172 goals for over 15 clubs in the course of his career making 428 appearances before announcing retirement in 2017 after a short stay with Coventry City.
