2018/19 Season: Sebastian picks jersey no.58 to honour mother

Ahead of the new league season in Switzerland, Super Eagles prospect Sebastian Osigwe has revealed that he picked the jersey number 58 in honour of his late mother Mrs Theresia Baggenstos-Osigwe, SportingLife.ng can reveal.

The former Flying Eagles star, who has also represented Switzerland at youth levels is one of the longest serving members of SC Kriens, having completed over 100 matches for the team and currently rated as the most important figure at the club.

An emotional Sebastian took to social media and wrote on his instagram page: ‘Ready for the season 18/19💥Maa we made it!!🙌🏽

‘In honour of my Mother that passed on to glory, my jersey number will be her year of birth till the
end of my pro-career. I will never forget the boots and kits you bought for me and all the times you
drove me for training even when it was not convenient for you.

‘You did so many things to help me become a pro! I will always love you Momy💞💞Theresia Baggenstos-
Osigwe. 1958 – 2008. R.I.P 🕊.’

Sebastian 24, played a huge role in helping SC Kriens gain promotion last season with ten clean sheets
in 29 league appearances and on the radar of Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr.
