The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has secured a shirt sponsorship deal with Eroton Exploration and Production Company limited.

The latest move is in line with the NCF’s promise to seek partnership with the organized private sector for its activities, events and teams in 2018 and beyond.

Under the terms of agreement, Eroton has acquired branding rights on the match and training kit jerseys of the Nigerian Men and Women senior national cricket teams.

Eroton’s Managing Director, Ebiaho Emafo said that the sponsorship is in line with its company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

“Our corporate strategy is leveraged on a engaging operations and CSR platform that see us play an active role in the transformation of the communities where we do business.

There is a synergy in our corporate values and those of cricket that gives us a confidence to enter into this partnership” –Emafo added.

NCF Vice President, Uyi Akpata who is excited about the partnership, noted that the move would help in the development of cricket in the country.

“We started the relationship with Eroton E&P in the last quarter of 2017 when the company was kind enough to sponsor the Nigeria Cricket Awards. We are always on the look-out for companies like Eroton who have a deep-rooted love for Nigeria and her people, especially the youth.

“We are talking about companies with a penchant for striving for excellence in planning and execution under strict corporate governance guidelines. In exposing our young people to the sport, we also believe there is much more to give to them when they imbibe the values of cricket, citizenship and sportsmanship,” Akpata added.

Sola Lawson, consultant to the NCF on sponsorship, said both bodies look forward to a long and fruitful relationship that would start with the ICC Twenty20 West Africa Qualifiers that come up from April 12 to 22.

The Nigerian Men’s team will take to the TBS Oval, Lagos in their new jerseys branded by Eroton Exploration and Production Company Limited.
