Former Barcelona youth coach, Franc Artiga, has been talking about Ansu Fati’s return and says the Catalans must be careful with the 18-year-old.
Fati has not played for the club since November 2020 but did return to training on Tuesday with reports suggesting he could be back in action in September.
According to Artiga, the timing of Fati’s return is crucial and is hopeful the youngster can get back to his best, or even better than before.
“Maybe he comes back better, because muscularly I have seen him much stronger than he was before he injured himself. The most important thing is the ‘timing’, that he returns when he is one hundred percent and mentally prepared, without fear of relapse,” he said.
“All the players will be given the opportunity to become important and take center stage. With Ansu we can be hopeful but we must have patience.”
It’s been a long road back for the youngster but it seems he’s in the final stretch of his recovery after a series of setbacks. Ansu’s return will be eagerly anticipated by the club and supporters but patience will be needed after such a long spell on the sidelines.
