Cancellation of Bonuses for Eaglets, other age grade teams not good-Ugbade

Golden Eaglets assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade sees the scrapping of match bonuses for the all the age grade national teams as a step in the wrong direction notwithstanding the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The NFF after its re-election cited lack of funds as reason for canceling the match bonuses of all the age grade national teams namely the Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles, Falconets and the Flamingoes.

“It is not right to take such decision but there must be a reason for them to take such decision because whoever work is entitled to be paid. You can’t remove motivation from whatever we do.

“Anyone that works in an office is entitled to some level of salary. If we say we want to sacrifice for the country, I think the country should also think very well about us instead of this kind of treatment,” he told bsnsports.com.ng.
