Enyimba battle MFM destroyers, Djoliba

Nigeria’s only representative, Enyimba of Aba have been drawn to face Djolida of Mali in Group C of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Djoliba, it will be recalled eliminated MFM FC, last week in the competition’s playoffs.

The Aba side battle their opponents on May 4 in Calabar in the first leg.

Enyimba, two time winners of the CAF Champions league are appearing in the group stage of Africa’s second-tier club competition for the first time.

The other teams in this group are Williamsville Athletic of Cote D’Ivoire and Club Athletique Aiglons of Cono.

The two teams from each of the four groups will qualify for the knockout stage which will be played on a home and away basis.

No Nigeria club has won this competition since it was established in 2004.
