Kidnappers release Katsina United coach, Biffo
Head coach of Nigeria Professional League Football (NPFL) side Katsina United, Abdullahi Biffo was on Wednesday released by his kidnappers after going missing for close to two weeks.
The former Abia Warriors coach was reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen, who had demanded N15m as ransom.
Following his release, Biffo has returned to Kano where he is recovering from the traumatic ordeal which came as a shock to the football family, especially his professional colleagues who had called on the government of Katsina State to intervene.
“We are happy that it is all over,” said a source.
Our source was however silent on whether any ransom was paid.
