Man Utd 5:0 Club Brugge: It’s a dream to score for Red Devils–Ighalo

On-loan striker Odion Ighalo says it is a dream come true to finally net his first goal for Manchester United after joining from Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua in January.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to cope without injured Anthony Martial for the second leg against Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday night and elected to start Ighalo for the match.

It was a vintage night for United as they thrashed the Belgian champions 5-0 to secure their passage to the last 16 of the competition and victory was made even sweeter when Ighalo netted his first goal for the club.

Ighalo’s tap in from Juan Mata’s cross might not be the most impressive of his professional career but it is one which he will never forget on his dream full debut.

“Yeah, it is a great moment,” Ighalo told BT Sport.

“I have been waiting for this, played three games, though I didn’t play much and no goals. A little bit of pressure, but now I got a goal to start my Manchester United goal career and it is a team I have supported since I was young, so it is very good, I am very happy and I am grateful to God.
