Man Utd hunt Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma

Manchester United are interested in Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma.

United will look to rebuild their squad under Erik ten Hag this summer as they look to reverse the astonishing decline seen in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson years.

Danjuma, who moved to Villarreal from Bournemouth last summer, is said to have been considered by United last year as an alternative to Jadon Sancho. The club reportedly held reservations over the playing owing to him playing his football in the Championship at the time.

With the Dutchman having enjoyed a stellar first season in Spain under Unai Emery, helping guide Villarreal to their first Champions League semi-final since 2006, he is still said to be of interest to the Manchester club.

However, the Manchester Evening News says owing to their plethora of options on the left the club is unlikely to make a move for the player this summer.

In addition to Sancho, Manchester United have the likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial, Anthony Elanga and the young Alejandro Garnacho who can all be deployed on the left-hand side.
