Ndidi, Iheanacho Nominated For Leicester Best Player, Young Player Awards

Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are among the nominees for the Leicester City’s Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards which was announced on the club’s official website today.

Both players are in the race along with England U21 stars Demarai Gray, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Hamza Choudhury, England defender Ben Chilwell and Belgium World Cup star Youri Tielemans for  the Young Player award.

Ndidi who has featured in 34 matches for the Foxes this season with two goals to his name is aiming for his third Young Player award having won it twice since joining the club.

Unlike Ndidi, Iheanacho has struggled this season despite scoring twice.

Another category is the Goal of the Season award which both players have were not nominated.

He is however a firm favourite to scoop this season’s award after a fine performance.

The winner of the awards will be announced at the end of the season dinner at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday May 7th.
