Super Eagles’ star, Henry Onyekuru made a return to the Galatasaray squad in last night’s Turkish Super League tie against Fernebache which ended 2-2 at Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi Turk Telekom Stadium.

The Nigerian international who has been sidelined for almost a month due to injury was in action for 86 minutes and was replaced by Algerian midfielder, Sofiane Feghouli.

Onyekuru who is on loan from Everton was unlucky not to have secured victory as a stunning finish from Jailson gave Fenerbahce a point in the ‘Eternal Derby’ as the visitors came from two goals down to end the game 2-2.

The hosts took the lead in 31st-minute when Ryan Donk bagged his second goal of the season with a hooked effort from close range, after Fenerbahce failed to deal with a routine corner-delivery.

Galatasaray doubled their advantage after the restart courtesy of a stunning curled strike from full-back Martin Linnes, but then the Fenerbahce comeback commenced.

The referee needed the assistance of VAR to award the visitors a penalty and Mathieu Valbuena converted to give Fenerbahce hope in the week they sacked former Dutch international Phillip Cocu.

And their equaliser came when Valbuena set up Jailson on the edge of the area. The Brazilian took a touch before firing the ball into the top corner to set up an enthralling finale.
