Our training is paying off——Iwobi

Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi has revealed that the intensity of training they have been getting under new Arsenal manager, Unai Emery is beginning to yield results.

The Gunners have gone unbeaten in nine straight games and Iwobi who has played a pivotal role says the players are enjoying it.

“We are giving extra intensity and you can see the manager demands a lot not just in games but on the training pitch and it is paying off,” Iwobi spoke after Arsenal’s game against Liverpool on Saturday.

The Nigeria who played as a substitute provided the assist that led to Arsenal’s equaliser that was scored by Alexander Lacazette.

He also admitted that the 1-1 draw against Liverpool was a fair result.

“People say juice is banned but we do get it in the mornings so he is not too strict! It is not just the nutrition it is the attention to detail and tactics and you can see we are enjoying it.”

The Gunners, who lost their first two games of the season to Manchester City and Chelsea, sit fifth in the on the table with 23 points.

They host Sporting CP in the Europa League on Thursday before facing Wolves at the weekend in the Premier League.
