Relieved Usule happy to be alive after concussion scare

Enyimba striker, Martins Usule has stated that he is now much better after he concussed on Thursday during a rearranged league game with Nasarawa United in Aba.

The attacker fell down motionless after he received a blow on his head in an aerial contest with the Solid Miners goalkeeper, Danlami Umar in the 15th minute before he was revived by the People’s Elephant medical team.
The former Katsina United player told SportingLife that he was grateful to God that he is still alive after he passed out for like two minutes and that he had been discharged from the hospital he was taking to immediately he was revived.
“I am fine and better now and I am grateful to God that he has counted me worthy to be given a second chance,” Usule told Sportinglife.ng.
“I saw the position of the goalkeeper before going for the ball. I went for it because I was at advantage and I got the ball before I heard a big bang on my head.
“It was the last thing I recalled. I am happy that I was revived and can do practically everything now.”
The forward however disclosed that he didn’t lose any of his teeth but that he only sustained a cut on his mouth.
“It was believed that I lost a tooth after they saw blood coming out of my mouth,” he continued.
“They also saw something that looked like a tooth close to where I vomitted but there was nothing like that. I got a cut on my mouth but my teeth are intact.”

SportingLife gathered that Usule was excused from Enyimba’s recovery training had yesterday morning.
It has not been ascertained if the striker will be involved in the People’s Elephant weekend league tie against Akwa United in Aba.
